The purpose of this forum is to gather input related to the Miami-Dade County bikeways maps and develop alternative bike routes that parallel major roadways. This does not mean that major roadways are exempt from addressing the needs of bicyclists--they are legally required to do so. But we're trying to establish and document routes that will also provide safe and calm alternatives, even if they are not officially designated County bike routes.
