Miami-Dade Cycling Plans and Maps

Miami-Dade County has developed numerous plans and projects to improve the county's bicycling and pedestrian infrastructure. Most important is the work of the Transportation Planning Organization (TPO, formerly Metropolitan Planning Organization or MPO). The TPO drives funding priorities and project timelines. Also important is the work of the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), which has responsibility for planning and implementing specific bicycling infrastructure projects.

Shown below is a map of existing and projected TPO bicycling projects in the 2040 Long-Range Transportation Plan. Download a PDF (better resolution) of the map here.

All are welcome to participate in our forums to improve Miami-Dade County's bicycling infrastructure. See bottom of this page to participate in a forum.

We have initiated discussion forums to gather input about ways to improve the bicycling infrastructure and safety for bicyclists in Miami-Dade County. Periodically we will synthesize this feedback and present it to our regular meetings with County representatives.
