 Great News for Members!

If you had a paid membership in 2020, the EBC Board has voted to extend your membership thru 2021 due to the limited rides and activities the club was able to provide you during the pandemic.

That means, your membership renewal date will be January 1st, 2022 and every January 1st after that.   No more guessing when you need to renew!  And, what a nice Christmas present to give to yourself and your family and friends!

Please be sure to check whether or not you had a paid membership in 2020 by going to EvergladesBC.com.  Scroll down and on the left side find the Member Login.   Log In.  If you were a member in 2020, you will see your Membership Card with the expiration date.  We will be updating your new expiration date manually, so please be patient.

Great News for NEW Members!

To encourage fellow cyclists to join EBC or to encourage those who were not members in 2020 or earlier, we are giving new or lapsed members a FREE EBC Jersey with each membership, whether it be an individual,a family or a student membership.  One jersey per new membership.   Since we have to order jerseys, the wait time before new members will receive a jersey will be from 8 - 12 weeks, but it will be well worth the wait!

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, the “Cycling Mayor”, leads  the 9th Annual Bike305 Bike to Work Day Ride on

Friday, March 5th

MIAMI (February 10, 2021) – With Covid-19 protocols in place, Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces celebrates Bike305 month (March) by hosting the 9th Annual Bike305 Bike to Work Day event on Friday, March 5th -- a day for residents to ride a bike to work even if it’s to and from their new workplace, home, to show support for the event.

At 8 a.m., Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade County Parks Director Maria I. Nardi, municipal Mayors and residents across Miami-Dade County, will kick-off the event at the University Metrorail Station, 5400 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, demonstrating how easy it is to cycle to work, especially when combined with a trip on public transportation.

Participants are encouraged to arrive by 7:15 a.m. to receive a free Bike305 performance shirt and a free Bike305 bicycle helmet with a customized fitting.  Masks are required at the event site and social distancing will be enforced.  Hand-sanitizing stations will be prominently positioned ready for use.

At 8:15 a.m., Mayor Cava and Director Nardi will lead the group on The Underline for a 7.6 mile bike ride to the Stephen P. Clark Government Center in downtown Miami where cyclists will be greeted by a cheering squad and refreshments provided by the Latin House. The Miami-Dade County Police Department will escort the group on bikes, motorcycles and vehicles to ensure a safe, seamless ride through the intersections.  Members of the Everglades Bicycle Club will help guide participants.  Participants can ride Metrorail FREE with their bikes back to any destination on the rail line including University Metrorail Station.

The event is sponsored by AvMed, Mack Cycle & Fitness, and the Latin House, all long-time sponsors of Bike305.
