Welcome to another EBC Weekend Away: Paved Trail Rides Adventure. We are headed to Winter Garden, Florida to ride beautiful paved trails the weekend of November 9 - 11. Thank you Ruben Fuentes for organizing this weekend for us!

ABOUT THESE TRAILS:
These trails are paved and are multi-use Trails.
ALL TYPES OF BIKES ARE WELCOME, road, hybrid or mountain.
Multi-Use Trail Etiquette: These trails are multi-use trails, and at times pass through populated areas. You will encounter pedestrian traffic, family and recreational riders, and perhaps, fast road cyclists. As a cyclist, always yield to pedestrians. Please be considerate of other trail users, signaling and vocalizing to other trail users as appropriate. Please adjust your speed as necessary. Always use caution when the trail is intersected by a street/road.
This ride is not a SAG-supported or leader-lead ride, rather, Ruben will be our host. The main peloton will ride at approximately 15-17 mph and since these are easy paved trail routes, others may just ride at a different pace if they so desire.

Day 1: Saturday, November 9th *
GATHER: WINTER GARDENS WEST ORANGE TRAIL, MEET BY 8:30AM, 455 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787, Tel: 407-877-7433
RIDE: We will ride West, past Clermont, approximately 25 miles total r/t.
LUNCH: Crooked Can Brewing Company which is off the trail.

MORE MILES? Folks can opt to add miles following lunch by heading east for another 15 -20 miles r/t.
Next Stop: Brooksville. From Winter Garden, we will drive west on Hwy 50 to Brooksville, approximately 50 miles.

Day 2: Sunday, November 10th
GATHER: MEET BY 8:30AM in the front parking lot of the Quality Inn. We will drive/caravan about 1/2 East to the Withlacoochee State Forest Paved Trail
RIDE: We will ride North to Inverness. Approximately 50 miles total r/t.
LUNCH: At your leisure in Inverness.
MORE MILES? Folks can opt to add extra miles on the way back and continue South for about an additional 20 miles round trip.

Day 3: Monday, November 11th
GATHER: Check out & MEET by 7:30AM in the front parking lot of the Quality Inn. We will drive/caravan East on Hwy 50 toward the town of Mabel and enter the James Van Fleet paved trail.
RIDE: We will ride south for 30 total r/t miles. This trail is 60-miles long however the group will only ride half the distance. Any riders wanting to ride full trail may do so on their own.
END OF WEEKEND! Drive home safely.

* Winter Garden/Friday night: (November 8) If you prefer to stay near Winter Garden Friday night we recommend these hotels. Otherwise the drive from Miami area is approx. 4+ hours and from the Brooksville FL area it is a little over 1-hour.
