THIS WEEK'S REGULAR SATURDAY MORNING EBC LEADER-LED RIDE IS A "SPICE RIDE" FOR 16+ MPH GROUPS ONLY. REGULAR ROUTE FOR 14-16 MPH GROUP

SPICE RIDE DESCRIPTION:

Its Sticky Bun Spice Time this Saturday with EBC!!! Thanks to the great idea presented to EBC by our club member Manny Huerta!!

This Saturday we have a great Miami Spice Ride lined up for our 16-18, 18-20 and 20+ cyclists who ride with EBC out of City Hall. Ride starts at 7:30 as usual BUT THE LOCATION HAS CHANGED TO Ponce de Leon Middle School 5801 Augusto Street, Miami, FL 33146 (due to other activities happening at City Hall) --- Please arrive by 7:15 so we can leave right after the tutorial!

The ride will be 55 miles from City Hall to Knaus Berry Farms for their final day of the season. Yes, your last chance to taste those sticky buns before they close for the season. Manny's girlfriend Jackie has volunteered---we love you Jackie--to arrive at Knaus before 9:00 AM to purchase Sticky buns and Pecan Rolls for our hungry cyclist so we will not be delayed waiting in line for the luscious treats! Please bring at least $5.00 to contribute to the bun expense!

This ride is only open to above 16 MPH level Cyclist. The 14-16 ride will be the ONLY Leader-Led ride out of Ponce de Leon Middle School this Saturday that is NOT GOING TO Knaus Berry Farm. So all 16-18, 18-20 and 20+ Ride Leaders will be heading to Knaus Berry Farm this Saturday, April 18th at 7:30 AM. So arrive early and enjoy this months spice ride or ride with the 14-16 ride leaders to Deering Estate.

Your ride leaders this Saturday are:

• 14-16 MPH GROUP --NO SPICE--just usual Deering Estate and return to Ponce de Leon Middle School -- Mary Mary Beth Garcia or Angel Pendas (TBD) and Joe Curbello
• 16-18: Angel Pendas or Mary Beth Garcia and Fred Glickman
• 18-20: Nicolas Gonzalez, Javier Lejardi and Maite Oca
• 20+ : Anthony Nicholas Ingham and Francisco Casanova

So be safe, be sweet, be at Ponce de Leon Middle School for this great miami Spice ride this saturday, April 18th @ 7:15 meet up.

GROUP LEVEL DESCRIPTION:

Group 1:  20+ Ride for the most Advanced riders who perform at r challenging speeds and longer distances. 

Group 2: 18-20 Ride for Advanced riders who are ready to take their riding to the next level and want to enjoy and challenging and safe environment with leader support and ongoing coaching.

Group 3: 16-18+ MPH LEADER-LED Ride for Experienced riders who are ready to take the next step to learning more advanced cycling skills like drafting, pace line etiquette at higher speeds, etc.

Group 4: 14-16 MPH LEADER-LED Ride (GREAT ride for newer cyclists). Rider rules for safety, etiquette for riding in teams is reinforced and trained on this ride.

Each group is lead by 2 ride leaders minimum, one ride leader in the front leading the group and one in the back sweeping. Our ride leaders are volunteer EBC members who have been certified to lead the EBC rides.
