Discount Health Foods has announced that it will sponsor the Everglades Bicycle Club by granting its members at least a 33% discount on nutritional supplements including but not limited to vitamins, amino acids, phytonutrients (like resveratrol) enzymes such as CoQ10 and probiotic,and herbs.

Club members can place their orders by phone and pick them up at their leisure or have them delivered at the monthly Everglades Bicycle Club meeting.

Charities and Fund raising

I propose that EBC only contribute to charities that have received 4 stars from the Charity Navigator.

For example the ADA that puts on the Tour de Cure has a one star rating.because of excessive salaries and fund raising expenses.The American Red Cross is not better--it gets 2 stars.

Conversation with my auto & home insurer

I am insured with USAA. Last week I discussed my coverage with one their its representatives. She said that my bicycles are insured under my homeowners policy for damages or loss arising from intentional theft or a third party's negligence.
She also said that the automobile policy provisions of Uninsured Motorist will cover my wife and I if injured because of the negligence of the driver of a vehicle. This coverage applies if we on on a bicycle as well as on foot or in a vehicle. PIP and medical payment provisions will cover us as well regardless of the vehicle's driver's negligence.
I do not know if the terms of the USAA insurance policies are the same as your insurance company's, but it is worth checking out.
